Fernando de Rojas was a Spanish author and dramatist born in La Puebla de Montalbán, near Toledo. His birth year is uncertain: sources give around 1465 or 1473 rather than 1470. He died in April 1541 in Talavera de la Reina, also in the Toledo region.
