Their life
William Shakespeare (c. 1564 to 1616) was an English playwright, poet, and actor. His known works, including collaborations, comprise about 39 plays, 154 sonnets, three long narrative poems, and some shorter verses, a few of which may not be his. His plays have been translated into every major living language and are staged more often than those of any other playwright. He is often called England's national poet.
He was born in Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire, and grew up there. At 18 he married Anne Hathaway, and the couple had three children: Susanna, and the twins Hamnet and Judith. Between 1585 and 1592 he built a career in London as an actor, writer, and shareholder in the acting company the Lord Chamberlain's Men, which became the King's Men after James VI of Scot
