Nobody knows yet, and the odds are close. Amazon MGM hasn't announced Bond 26's star, and says only that it will share news "as soon as the time is right." The shortlist reported by Deadline and others is Callum Turner, Jack Lowden and Josh O'Connor, with a fourth candidate unnamed. Producer Amy Pascal has called a year-end announcement "a good bet."
The market numbers move daily and disagree by source. On Kalshi, a November 1 snapshot reported by Prediction News had Lowden at 45% and Turner at 36%. Kalshi's own news page had Turner narrowly ahead at 45% to Lowden's 44% in late October, and earlier in October Lowden led at 44% to Turner's 39%. At William Hill, reported by Oddschecker on October 31, Lowden was 4/7 and Turner 3/1 (about 25%). These are betting and prediction-market prices, not casting facts, and they have swung with each report from the screen tests.
Turner has real support: George Clooney, who directed him in The Boys in the Boat, has said he hopes Turner gets the role. Turner has said he has no inside information and has declined to say whether he wants it. If you want to follow it, watch for the studio's announcement rather than the odds.
