Freda

Where it comes from

A feminine form of Frederick and Fred, also a short form of Winifred.

proper noun

  1. A female given name from the Germanic languages. Now Freda is a beautiful name, but to this day I am glad my bataa was so insistent. I have come to agree there is something magical about one's own name. Later in my life, the name Princess has opened many doors that may not have been opened were I called Freda.
