Polish Corridor
proper noun
- A former region of Poland which extended northwards to the Baltic coast and separated East Prussia from the rest of Germany, granted to Poland after the First World War to ensure Polish access to the coast. Meanwhile the German Communist party, which had been smashed and driven underground, belatedly adopted Hitler's slogans of the unity of all Germans and the liquidation of the Polish Corridor.
