Trish

proper noun

  1. A diminutive of the female given name Patricia. "Trix" was a derivation of Trish, our mother's girlhood name, or cognomen, as she called it; Trish was itself a derivation of Patricia. Trix disliked her original name because she thought it prissy and old-fashioned, but she didn't much like "Trix" either.
