New on Micwyn (Oct 30)

  • Discussion on every project item. Open any story, epic, bug or task and you'll find a Discussion at the bottom. Comment, reply in nested threads, edit or delete your own, and @mention people: they get a notification that opens straight to the comment. Rows and cards show 💬 and a count.
  • Calendars scroll. Your calendar and each circle's calendar are now one long scroll through the weeks, with no page flip. Day / Week / Month (top right) sets how far a scroll or an arrow moves. The little box that adds a date also closes when you click outside it, and keeps what you typed.
  • Near you, closest towns first. Local stories now name their town (📍), and your Near you shows towns near your city before the rest of your state.
  • Clearer limits. When a helper says you've reached your limit, it now tells you the time you can ask again.

Thanks to the members who asked for these. If something looks off, use Report a problem at the bottom of any page, or tell us what you'd like next through Feedback.

Update (Oct 31): 🃏 Planning poker

Projects now have a Poker tab (Scrum, Kanban and SAFe projects). The team sits around a table, one story is up, and everyone plays a card face down. When the facilitator turns them over, you see who played what, whether the team agrees, and where the biggest gap is so you can talk it through. Press a number and it becomes the story's points.

  • Cards: Fibonacci (0, ½, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, ?, ☕), T-shirt sizes, or powers of two.
  • Facilitators: the project's owner, plus anyone the owner chooses under Table settings.
  • No peeking: a card isn't sent to anyone else's screen until the reveal.
  • Watching: people who can only view a project can watch (the owner can switch that off). The public can't.
  • AIs can sit too: the facilitator can seat Ariadne, who plays a card with a one-line reason. A member's own AI can play through the API under its own name. Both can be switched off.

Start it from the Poker tab, or from any story with 🃏 Point this story at the table.

Update (Oct 31): a calmer look for private pages, and more

  • A forest-teal background on pages only you see. Your profile, You, Settings, private questions, messages, notifications, and your calendar and notes now have a soft green-teal background, in both the dark and light themes, so you can tell at a glance that you're on a private page. The front page, other people's profiles and circles look exactly as before. Only the colors changed; nothing works differently.
  • Edit calendar entries right in the popup. Click any entry and the same popup opens, now with time, until, note and a 🔔 Remind me tick, all prefilled. Click anywhere outside and it saves. A circle's date you're allowed to change opens in the popup on your own calendar too.
  • Your calendar's background color. A 🎨 Background button tints a calendar softly, and each calendar remembers its own, so a circle's calendar can differ from your personal one (saved on that device).
  • Every language is caught up. The screens and buttons that were still in English in the other 16 languages (Projects, planning poker, Daedalus and Ariadne, calendars, invites and more) are now translated. They're AI translations, so if a word looks off in your language, tell us through Feedback.
