As of the latest reports I found (Oct 29–31, 2026), the Tesla referral program no longer gives a dollar amount for buying a new car in the US. Vehicle referrals were retired, and the older $250 Tesla Credit figure is out of date. Reports say the program now centers on Full Self-Driving (Supervised). Under the new FSD referral, a friend you refer gets one free month of FSD (Supervised) if they're eligible, and the reward for you depends on your situation: if you subscribe to FSD, you get one free month; if you bought FSD outright, you get a $99 Tesla Credit toward eligible purchases. Not a Tesla App reported this, and the program is US-only for now.
Sources disagree on details. Some secondary sites still list $250 in Tesla Credits or 3 months of FSD for new buyers, but those pages are older, and the $250 figure isn't confirmed on Tesla's own pages. Tesla's app and its referral pages are the final word, since terms can change again. If you're in Canada or another country, the terms may differ.
