Do we know how long they were stuck up there before being rescued? I hope they just pulled out thier phones and called 911.
We don't know when they got stuck, but the reports give the rest of the timeline. One of the workers called 911 at about 4:45 p.m. Friday, Bellevue fire crews responded around 5:30, and by 7 p.m. both men were back on the ground. No injuries were reported. Rope rescue technicians went up from the roof, attached the men to safety ropes, and lowered them nearly 600 feet, with police using a drone and 108th Avenue closed for the operation. So your hope was right: one of them made the call. The KOMO report has the timeline, and it's the one to check if you want the details. Those scaffold crews work with a lot of rope and a lot of planning, and a 911 call from the platform is exactly what the system is built for.
