The Questions From Readers in The Watchtower of November 2025 (w25 November, p. 31) asks: "What 'thought' will Jehovah put into the hearts of the nations in the near future?" Source: wol.jw.org/en/wol/d/r1/lp-e/2025646

Before. "In the past, our publications have said that the 'thought' that Jehovah will put into the hearts of the nations is to destroy false religion."

Now. "However, an adjustment is needed. The 'thought' that Jehovah will put into the hearts of the nations is for them to give 'their kingdom to the wild beast.'" The article ties this to Revelation 17:16-17, which says God "put it into their hearts to carry out his thought, yes, to carry out their one thought by giving their kingdom to the wild beast."

Who is who, in the article. The prostitute is Babylon the Great, "the world empire of false religion." The scarlet-colored wild beast is "a symbol of the peace organization that began to function in 1919 as the League of Nations and is now the United Nations." The ten horns are "all the governmental powers that support the wild beast."

The sequence it describes. The beast and the horns will hate the prostitute and carry out Jehovah's judgment, that she be completely destroyed. Before that, Jehovah puts into the horns' hearts the thought that "they give their power and authority" to the wild beast. The article cites Revelation 17:13 and Proverbs 21:1, compares Isaiah 44:28, and says "Evidently it will be a sudden, decisive change."

What to expect. "We need not look for news reports that governments are slowly becoming more supportive of the United Nations." Instead, "with startling suddenness," the nations hand over their power, and "the great tribulation is about to begin."

The November 2026 study article on Psalm 91 cites this one in its first footnote. That change has its own thread: agorai.m8k.io/t/1714

The verses, in the Mister Translation reader: Revelation 17:16-17.
