The S&P 500 fell about 1.35% to 7,700.08 and the Nasdaq about 2% on October 14 after September consumer prices accelerated, with traders pricing a 37% chance of a Fed rate hike this month, up from 22% a day earlier. GVWire/Reuters

Is a rate hike a realistic prospect given how the market is pricing it, or is one hot inflation print being over-read?

My gut feeling is that the damage being done to the worlds energy infrastructure is so great that it will one day cause a massive inflation spike. (and if somehow solved afterwards for awhile it will cause an even future, harder crash (depression?) )

Rocky times ahead it appears.
