From a contraction of "homoeroticism, yay!", after a thread so named on the forum Television Without Pity.

slang, uncountable Homoerotic subtext in a television show, film, book etc. This should really help the HoYay! quotient on BtVS, which was largely lacking in S5, Willow and Tara notwithstanding (it's not as much fun if it's *text*).
